OVERVIEW

RERA (Real Estate Regulatory Authority) registration is a mandatory requirement for real estate projects and agents in India under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016. The purpose of RERA is to bring transparency, accountability, and efficiency to the real estate sector.

RERA REGISTRATION

  • For Builders/Developers: Any residential or commercial project exceeding 500 square meters or more than 8 apartments must be registered with RERA before marketing or selling units.
  • For Real Estate Agents: Agents facilitating real estate transactions must also register with RERA to operate legally.
