FCRA Registration

OVERVIEW

FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) registration is mandatory for Indian NGOs and associations that wish to receive foreign contributions or donations. It ensures that foreign funding is used for legitimate purposes and does not pose a threat to national security.

ELIGIBILITY

  • The organization must be a registered NGO, trust, or society.
  • It should have been in existence for at least three years.
  • It should have spent at least Rs10 lakh on its core activities in the last three years (excluding administrative expenses).
