  • Medical Benefits
    • Free medical treatment for insured employees and their dependents at ESIC hospitals, dispensaries, and recognized private hospitals.
    • Includes consultation, hospitalization, medicines, surgeries, maternity care, and super-specialty treatments.
  • Sickness Benefits
    • Sickness Allowance: Employees can get 70% of their wages for up to 91 days in a year if they are on medical leave.
    • Enhanced Sickness Benefit: 100% of wages for specific illnesses like tuberculosis, cancer, or prolonged diseases (up to 2 years).
  • Maternity Benefits
    • 26 weeks of paid maternity leave with 100% of wages for insured women.
    • Extended up to 30 days for complications arising from pregnancy.
  • Disablement Benefits
    • Temporary Disablement: 90% of wages paid until recovery.
    • Permanent Disablement: Compensation based on the disability percentage.
  • Dependents’ Benefits (Death Benefits)
    • If an insured worker dies due to employment-related injury or disease, 90% of the wages are given as a monthly pension to dependents (spouse, children, or parents).
  • Unemployment Allowance (Rajiv Gandhi Shramik Kalyan Yojana)
    • If a worker is unemployed due to retrenchment or factory closure, they get 50% of wages for up to 2 years along with free medical care.
  • Funeral Expenses
    • A lump sum of Rs 15,000 is provided to the family of a deceased insured person to cover funeral costs.
  • Confinement Expenses
    • In case of maternity confinement outside ESIC hospitals, an amount of Rs 5,000 is provided.
  • Rehabilitation Allowance
    • Special medical and financial support for insured persons undergoing vocational rehabilitation due to disability.
